GALAK-Z is not only a love letter to 1980s arcade shooters and Japanese anime Sci-Fi. It’s also a true evolution of the 2D space-shooting genre. In GALAK-Z both stealth and skill are required to defeat truly intelligent enemies. You will be forced to outsmart enemies that think, react and cooperate like seasoned pilots! Master your ship’s sublimely-honed controls as you blast enemies, unleash missile salvos, and even toss your opponents, mech-style, to their explosive demise.
INSPIRATION AND INNOVATION
GALAK-Z obviously pays homage to the classic games that invaded dark arcades and home consoles in the 1980s and stellar coin-ops such as Asteroids, Gradius and R-Type, and titles like Solar Jetman on the NES.
But while rooted in classic tradition, GALAK-Z also combines the aesthetic punch of modern 2D games (like deep parallax and killer effects!) with the sophistication of 3D FPS—such as cutting-edge, enemy A.I. for deeper, more intense dog fights. Think of it as a classic shooter—on (a)steroids.

GALAK-Z utilizes the Cyntient™ A.I. platform to infuse alien enemies with the ability to analyze, react to and learn from their environment—and your behavior as a player. Only serious piloting skills will be up to the job…

Not content with GALAK-Z having only amazing real-time physics and AI-powered space shooting… we’ve saved our biggest secret for last. So yeah… OF COURSE YOU CAN TRANSFORM YOUR SHIP INTO A KILLER, GIANT MECH FORM IN GALAK-Z! How could we leave that out? With the hit of a button, A-Tak’s space fighter instantly transforms into a hulking space robot death machine complete with laser sword, shield and grappling hook!!! NEW: ‘ARCADE’ MODE!
GALAK-Z has a reputation for being as hard as a frozen brick – and for that we are proud. However, we also realize not everyone is looking for a good ol’ kick in the teeth from the evil Imperial Navy. Enter ‘Arcade’ mode! Offered alongside our tough-as-old-space-boots ‘Rogue’ mode, ‘Arcade’ mode permits you to replay failed missions any number of times until you conquer them and are ready to move on. So… it’ll be easy?! Pah! Death still looms around every corner, and progress-saves at the end of each mission mean you still have to play it safe. But you’re now able to take on each mission with a virtual roll of quarters stacked on the cabinet. It’s GALAK-Z with a little less of the stress of permadeath space combat…
